  I am 40 years old I never wrote a review, good or bad about anyone but because of my experience with Dr. Burke, I had to write this. In 2015 I was diagnosed with breast cancer and I was told I needed to do 6 rounds of chemo and a double mastectomy. The reconstruction was done at the same time as the mastectomy. I remember after waking up, the surgeon telling me he also had to remove one of my nipples. Right away I broke into tears. At this point I'm thinking I'll never be happy with my breasts again. Looking in the mirror I was hoping that my breasts looked they way did because of the swelling and they will change. That never happened. I went back to the surgeon who did the reconstruction to let him know how unhappy I was and would could be done to remedy this. He made me feel like I was bothering him. He also made me feel like he was doing me a special favor. Thats when I decided it was time to look for another plastic surgeon. I was attending a cancer group support meeting at the hospital where this all took place and a few of the girls told me they had worked with Dr. Renee Burke and they couldn't say enough good things about her. Of course I had to trust these girls because they went through the same exact thing I was going through. I called Dr. Burkes office to schedule an appointment. My husband and I went together to my first meeting with the Dr. The office alone makes you feel like you are at the right place. We first met with Sam the nurse practitioner. After meeting with Sam, that was just another reason for us to think we were at the right place. Then of course after meeting with Dr. Burke, my husband and I knew we were at the right place. Dr. Burke is very professional, caring, and completely understanding of how I was feeling. Right away she saw the problems with the first surgery and told me what need to be done to make my breasts look the way I wanted them to look. We scheduled the surgery in 2016. Here she changed the implants and performed fat graphing till fill in where needed. The result brought me to tears again. But these are happy tears. My breasts looked awesome. I was extremely happy. In 2017 we scheduled another surgery to do the nipple reconstruction and a little bit more fat graphing. I can't say enough. Dr. Burke did an amazing job. I couldn't be more happy with my results. You can really feel how much she cares about all her patients. Please believe me and the girls from my group when I say you will never have to look for any other plastic surgeon after you meet Dr. Burke. Thank you Dr. Burke and your staff for making me feel whole again and making me feel great about myself. Your the best!!! Thank you Thank You, ❤️ Michelle Pontikis
